Windows 8 and later have Windows refresh and Windows reset features. A Windows refresh wipes out all programs installed and settings of any users, but keeps the files of the users. A Windows reset wipes out all programs, settings, and data on the computer and restores the computer back to factory default. For computers that do not have Windows refresh and Windows reset, but do have a recovery partition that is usable this service still applies.
This service may be performed instead of a malware removal, before giving the computer away, or after receiving a used computer. For computers that are infected with severe malware, this may be the only option to repair the computer. This is the most thorough method of removing malware. Everything is removed, and no undetected malware is left behind. For computers that will be given away or have been given away, this allows the new user to have a fresh start and for the old user to have the piece of mind that their old data and programs will not be misused.
This service is not available if the hard drive has crashed or is damaged, or if the recovery partition has been deleted or damaged. This service is only performed in-shop. This service will remove Microsoft Office from the computer. This service will restore any bloatware that originally came with the computer.
